Poll on SB 1013 Retroactivity CRIME VICTIMS UNITED |
The following poll question was sent to all Oregon legislators on Monday, October 7th, 2019.
Responses were published and a press release was issued on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019.
The Oregon Legislature has nullified the will of the voters of Oregon and subjected the loved ones of victims of death row residents to years, or decades, of uncertainty. For the whole story, see SB 1013 - Legislature and Governor Nullify Will of Voters on Death Penalty
Governor Kate Brown declined to call a special session to fix this betrayal on the grounds that "there is not sufficient support for a special session to pass a fix".
Crime Victims United believes that the survivors and the voters of Oregon deserve to know where each and every legislator stood on this issue. Please respond to the question below by email on or before Tuesday, October 15th, 2019. In the event of a failure to respond, you will be listed as "NO RESPONSE".
We will publish the results of this poll on our web site and via a press release.
